Peace in the New Testament: a devotional about peace

I’m so excited to announce… I wrote a devotional! This has been a huge goal of mine for the last few years. This started as a Bible study for my women’s group. You can read more about my experience being a small group leader here. I’ve reworked it into a devotional about peace, perfect for women to do individually.
This devotional dives into the complex subject of peace in the New Testament! In John 14:27, Jesus said:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
This verse really stuck with me. In fact, the word peace is all over the New Testament, and Jesus talks about it often!
So what does peace look like, and how do we get it as busy women and moms?
Peace is multifaceted, and there are a lot of things that can get in the way of it. This devotional about peace will help you understand how important real inner peace is to our faith. I don’t mean inner peace in a new-age way. Peace means contentment with what you have, refusing worry and anxiety, and fully trusting the Lord! Each lesson will explore one of the ten common hang-ups that keep us from the peace Jesus promised us.
Is this devotional about peace for you?
You’ll love this devotional about peace if you want your life to be calmer and more fulfilling! Trusting God in every moment is a huge act of obedience and submission. This devotional will help you learn exactly how to do that in your own life. By the end, you’ll know exactly which areas of your life are holding you back from experiencing that “peace beyond understanding” you’ve heard about!

A note on gratefulness
I never would have been able to write this devotional without the love, support, belief, and resources given to me by my home church, Blue Route Vineyard in Media, PA. I started going to BRV only 6 weeks after I had given birth to Emma and accepted that I needed Jesus in my life. The pastors and leaders there took me from a new Christian knowing nothing about the Bible, to joining a Bible study group, to leading that Bible study group… And now, to have the confidence to write my own devotional. I’m endlessly grateful to this church for nurturing me, baptizing me, equipping me, and investing in me.
What part of your life is holding you back from peace? Tell me in the comments!
